Isolating your Evaporative Cooler Water supply Prior to Winter

Learn how to isolate your Evaporative Cooler and how to drain the water pipes ready for winter. Avoid costly damage from frozen piping, and damaged components.
Please ensure you drain your evaporative cooler prior to the cold weather arriving.

Anzac Day is the perfect day to remember that it’s time to drain your cooler.

You should also consider closing off your evaporative cooler vents to reduce any risk of losing heat through your ductwork. If you have Evaporative Cooling Vent Covers, it’s a good idea to install these at the same time, and ensure you switch off the cooler at the controller.

Do NOT turn on your cooler at any time, while the vents are closed or while vent covers are installed.
